EV is committed to the continuous improvement in the training of doctors in the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program.

Each year, the Australian Government commissions an external research company to conduct a survey of GP registrars to gauge the level of satisfaction with their training, regional training organisations and career progression. The results of the 2017 AGPT National Registrar Survey can be found in the Final Report which you can see on the AGPT website.  EV looks at these results, and also an EV specific report, and they help inform our planning for the delivery of the AGPT program.  An infographic snapshot of the EV results of the 2017 survey is attached.

In 2018, the AGPT NRS will again be administered to all eligible AGPT registrars by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). The survey will be open on July 31 and run for four weeks.

The NRS has been extended  and now closes on Monday 3 November.

Registrars should monitor their email for an invitation to complete the survey and we strongly encourage registrars to participate. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and the results enable the Department of Health to monitor the performance of the program and help bring emerging issues to the attention of the Department and EV. The more feedback we receive the better placed we are to respond. So here is your chance to have your say!
