EV GP Training is committed to the continuous improvement in the training of doctors in the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program.
Each year the Australian Government commissions an external research company to conduct the National Registrar Survey (NRS). The NRS is a survey of all GP registrars training on the AGPT program. It helps assure the quality of the program and provides information to the Department of Health, regional training organisations (RTOs) and Colleges to monitor and improve registrars’ education, training, and experience.
The NRS has been conducted annually for the past 15 years and provides aggregated information to RTO’s, Colleges and the Department of Health that is used to monitor and improve GP registrars’ education, training, and experience. The results from the NRS feed directly into RTOs’ key performance indicators.
By participating in the NRS, registrars have the opportunity to provide feedback specifically on the experience as a GP registrar, and the experience in the AGPT program. All response will make an important contribution to improving the AGPT program into the future.
In 2019, the NRS will be administered by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). The survey will be open to EV registrars from 1 October, 2019 until 27 October, 2019.
The results from the 2018 NRS are available here.
