Intern GP Rotation (IGPPP) – Orientation Lunch In January, an Orientation lunch was held at the Tinamba Hotel for the new cohort of interns from the Gippsland Rural Intern Training Program. These interns will undertake a GP rotation this year. The program was hosted by Dr Kelly Seach with Practice Managers and Supervisors attending from Breed St Clinic, Heyfield Medical Centre and Maffra Medical Group. All 15 interns attended and had the opportunity to listen to a number of speakers including Professor Marlene Drysdale who spoke about the history of Aboriginals in Gippsland and Aboriginal Health. Dr Damian Hannon, EV Registrar and Registrar Medical Educator spoke with his RLO and GPRA ‘Future GP Program’ hat on. Dr Stacey Smith who was in their shoes 12 months again spoke about her experience and why she has now joined the GP Rural pathway with EV.
