Expressions of Interest to Become a Training Practice

Commonwealth Government strategies to increase service provisions in areas of need have increased the focus within Eastern Victoria GP Training (EV) to meet this need. Whilst we note that there are many high-quality training practices in metropolitan Melbourne that could be recruited, our remit has been to concentrate our efforts on recruitment in MMM 3-6 and areas of need within outer metropolitan Melbourne.

As the transition to college led training approaches, EV have assessed that there are sufficient Training Posts for registrar placements in 2023 in inner and outer metropolitan Melbourne. Therefore, we will not be entering discussions with prospective Training Posts or accepting further Expressions of Interest in MMM1 areas

For our rural region, EV will continue to recruit in the early part of 2022 for the 2023 training year to develop training placements that meet our quality education, supervision and training standards, workforce distribution and community need requirements particularly in MMM5-6 and welcome practices in these areas to contact our Churchill office.

For further information, please contact our metropolitan office in Hawthorn or our rural office in Churchill.
